Guinea Tasso Di Inflazione

The annual inflation rate in Guinea rose to 8% in August 2023, up from 6% in the previous month. It was the highest reading in four months, due to the rebound in prices for furniture, household items & maintenance (6.7% vs -1.1% in July), transport (0.8% vs -3.8%), communication (0.6% vs -67.7%), and miscellaneous goods & services (2.5% vs -7.4%). In contrast, inflation mainly slowed for food & non-alcoholic beverages (13.5% vs 17.7%), and housing & utilities (21% vs 54.9%). On a monthly basis, the CPI fell 0.4%, the first deflation since August 2022.
