Romania L'Inflazione Alimentare

Romania's annual inflation rate fell to 14.96 percent in July of 2022 from 15.05 percent in June which was the highest reading since October 2003. Food prices rose the most since March 2003 (16.05 percent vs 14.67 percent in June. Additional upward pressure also came from cost of both non-food products (16.59 percent vs 17.92 percent) and services (8.33 percent vs 7.81 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.89 percent in July, after a 0.62 percent gain in June which was the softest pace in four months.
