Austria Wholesale Prices

Wholesale prices in Austria rose 16.5% year-on-year in November of 2022, sharply less than the 21.2% increase in the previous month. Still, the latest reading suggested inflation pressures remained high, mostly on the back of rising cost of industrial chemicals (101.8%), followed by solid fuels (67.5%) and other liquid & gaseous fuels & related products (63.6%). Further upward contributions came from continued high prices for motor spirit (29.9%), dairy products, eggs and edible oils & fats (28.8%), stationary (27.8%), and fertilizers & agrochemicals products (27.7%). On a monthly basis, the index declined 3%, after a 3.1% gain in the previous month.
