Niger Tasso Di Inflazione

The annual inflation rate in Niger eased to 6.8% in November 2023 from 7.3% in the previous month. Main downward pressures came from the slowdown in prices of food & non-alcoholic beverages (9.7% vs 11.1% in October), housing & utilities (9.6% vs 10.5%), and alcoholic beverages & tobacco (0.4% vs 2.0%). In contrast, inflation primarily accelerated for health (2.2% vs 1.7%) and household items & routine maintenance (4.3% vs 4.1%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.2%, cooling from a 1.9% drop in October.
